This Girl Is A Living Doll

My girlfriend came across this a few weeks ago, and boy did it make me feel something. At first I thought that feeling was abject terror, but it turns out it was, admittedly somewhat that, far more admiration than anything else. The channel that uploaded this is apparently also the "dancer" in it, from what I can gather, and as someone who enjoys the art of dance, especially weird shit like this, I wholly support it. I struggle to call this a "dance" when it's more a performance piece, but dance is the term more people seem familiar with, so here we are.

Apparently, culling what little information I could gather from my hard hitting research (I just read the comments, honestly) she is an opera singer and sung this particular piece, which I believe is called "The Doll's Song" from "Tales of Hoffmann", at the ripe ol' age of 17. She is clearly well trained and deserved of her praise, as she takes her craft extremely seriously. I for one would never make fun of that, being an artist myself. This is an incredible piece of work. Her acting, her singing, the whole thing is phenomenal.

Her movements are so rigidly timed and executed, exactly as one would expect from such a thing, and I for one think she did just a marvelous job. That doesn't make this whole thing any less weird, mind you, hence why it's here...but it does at least have some true talent backing it up.

Anyway, I've linked the whole video at the top, so you can watch it at your leisure. It's actually not very long at all, so go ahead and check it out if you're feeling in the need for culture.
