This Girl Is A Living Doll

Image
My girlfriend came across this a few weeks ago, and boy did it make me feel something. At first I thought that feeling was abject terror, but it turns out it was, admittedly somewhat that, far more admiration than anything else. The channel that uploaded this is apparently also the "dancer" in it, from what I can gather, and as someone who enjoys the art of dance, especially weird shit like this, I wholly support it. I struggle to call this a "dance" when it's more a performance piece, but dance is the term more people seem familiar with, so here we are. Apparently, culling what little information I could gather from my hard hitting research (I just read the comments, honestly) she is an opera singer and sung this particular piece, which I believe is called "The Doll's Song" from "Tales of Hoffmann", at the ripe ol' age of 17. She is clearly well trained and deserved of her praise, as she takes her craft extremely seriously. I for one...

This Bird Costume Haunts Me

Image
I was doing some searching for images I could use for some cover art for an upcoming book when I came across this picture, and...just... why? What in fresh hell is going on in this thing? This picture leaves me with so many unanswered questions. This looks like something you'd find in a serial killers house after you finally arrest him. Had this been a realistic bird costume, that'd be one thing; then it'd be just a statement on how the roles are reversed, here's a bird holding a human captive instead of the "natural order" we have. But...it's not. This thing looks like it's a Tweety Bird knock off costume sold at a lesser known costume shop with a name like "Party Ville" or some shit like that. And because the bird costume is so unprofessional, and looks so homemade, it only adds to the overall creepiness factor of the damn thing. He looks like a sentient pinata for fucks sake, and his hands aren't even feathered! He's just wearing ...

Peter & The Wolf [1995] Royal Ballet School

Image
I'm a big fan of Peter & The Wolf. I especially love the Disney version from 1946. I'm also a rather secretive fan of ballet, partially because an uncle I had, who died when I was a very young girl, was a professional ballet dancer, and partially cause I just like really girly crap. That being said, when my girlfriend came across this the other night, I was torn. Part of me really loves it and part of me is absolutely bewildered by it.     Either way, I decided it needed to be seen by other people, so I'm linking it here for posterity. It truly is a work of art. And I'm not gonna deny it, as a furry, that cat costume is top notch stuff, man. Also this sort of makes me feel bad that I can't dance like this, because I always wanted to. But hey, at least I can watch it, and...I don't know, feel oddly compelled to weep because it's so strangely beautiful.

Welcome

Despite what the name of this blog may insinuate, I don't actually consider most of this stuff "trash". It's just simply a catchy fun name for a blog, that's all. That isn't to say that a lot of what I will post here won't be utter garbage, but it's garbage in the sense of amazement. The sort of garbage you want to stare at in awe, because it so clearly shouldn't exist and yet it does. Moreover, this is just merely a dumping ground for weird, wild kinda nutty stuff I come across and wanna share. So if you're into bizarre internet content, stick around, I'm sure you'll find something to look at.
